The 2023 Legislative Session adjourned Thursday, June 8th. Legislators debated hundreds of bills with wide raising topics. The Louisiana REALTORS® Bill Review Team reviewed and determined Louisiana REALTORS® position on almost two hundred of these bills with topics ranging from taxes, homeowners’ associations, and property insurance. NAR is pleased to share the latest consumer guide focused on state and local tax (SALT) deductions . This guide explains federal tax law changes that temporarily quadruple the amount of state and local taxes (SALT) that taxpayers can deduct and will make homeownership more accessible and affordable, especially for people in higher-tax states. As a reminder, all guides in this series are available for download—in both English and Spanish—on facts.realtor . Please allow a few days for the Spanish version of the latest resource to be translated and uploaded.
