The Louisiana Real Estate Commission has announced changes to renewal period deadlines. The renewal period for 2024 will begin August 1, 2023. When you complete your renewal during the upcoming renewal period, you are renewing for January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024. Please keep in mind these new deadlines when completing your renewal.

On-Time Renewals: August 1 - September 30

Continuing Education Requirement:

The continuing education (CE) requirement of 12 hours for license renewal remains in place and must be completed by December 31, 2023. You may renew your license prior to completing your education. Failure to complete CE by the December 31 deadline will be considered a violation of LREC law and rules and you will be subject to a fine.
