LSBHI Adds REALTORS® Resource Page

Louisiana REALTORS • April 15, 2021

In honor of National Home Inspection Month and because of the huge influx of homebuyers in the state, the Louisiana State Board of Home Inspectors (LSBHI) added a brand new resource page to its website just for REALTORS®! Because Louisiana state law dictates that home buyers in need of a home inspector must hire one licensed by LSBHI, the number of licensed Louisiana state inspectors increased over 60% from the year prior. Home inspections have also increased, with LSBHI seeing a jump of approximately 17.5% more homebuyers requesting inspections.

Because home inspectors have the same ultimate goal as REALTORS® - to help homebuyers make the most informed decision - LSBHI has compiled a hub of information not only for you as a REALTOR®, but also for your clients to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding home inspections. With items like a home inspection list, a licensed home inspector search tool and inspection FAQs, this is a great tool to better guide your homeowners.
