The deadline for the 2020 Census is being extended to October 5th.

Right now, Louisiana’s self-response rate is 59.7%, which ranks #47 nationally — ahead of only Alaska, Maine, New Mexico, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico. Help us spread the word about the importance of the Census to get our state's numbers up! Helpful information and reliable assets can be found here.

Census data affects a number of important things, including the distribution of federal grants and funds, state and congressional district boundaries, the number of seats each state gets in the House of Representatives, neighborhood development, home values, property taxes, where businesses decide to open, population shift information, buyer demographic data, and more.
