2020 Legislative Session Kicks Off March 9

LOUISIANA REALTORS • March 1, 2020
The 2020 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature will begin on Monday, March 9th.  To date, over 1,100 have been filed and each legislator can file up to five more bills until Monday, March 31st.  This high number can be attributed to the influx of first-time legislators elected last fall who are all eager to make their mark.

Your Louisiana REALTORS® Bill Review Team, which is made up of members from across the state, will meet on Wednesday, March 11th to determine which of these bills Louisiana REALTORS® will support, oppose, or monitor on behalf of the industry.

After the Bill Review Team meets, an interactive Bill Tracking Report will be made available on this website with the position of Louisiana REALTORS® on each bill it has identified as having the potential to affect your business or property rights.  Any bill on the list will be able to be accessed and viewed in its entirety by clicking on the number of the bill on the left of the page. The Bill Tracking Report will be updated weekly
