Louisiana REALTORS is your state-level tier in the REALTOR organization. Our goal is to assist our REALTOR members in the business of real estate in Louisiana. We represent REALTOR interests on important real estate related issues on the state and federal level, while providing legal assistance, professional development opportunities, discounts and other unique services for our membership. There are currently over 11,000 members statewide.

Louisiana REALTORS is the Voice of Real Estate in the Louisiana legislature, and as one of the state’s most powerful lobbying groups, has enjoyed a large number of legislative successes. Our Federal and State legislative teams, composed of dedicated REALTOR members and LR staff, review and evaluate proposed legislation and work to protect REALTOR interests in both Baton Rouge and Washington, D.C.

Online Advocacy Center- information and alerts that allow you to respond directly to your state legislators on issues and legislation that affects your business.
State & Federal Legislative Outreaches- special briefing sessions that provide an unparalleled opportunity for REALTORS to discuss key issues with lawmakers.
REALTOR Day- REALTORS converge at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge each spring to meet one-on-one with lawmakers at LR’s annual legislative rally event.

Louisiana REALTORS provides its members with a number of risk management tools and legal information. From agency and license law, to property disclosure and "Do-Not-Call," LR keeps you abreast of the most important legal issues and latest developments that can impact your bottom line.

Legal Hotline- member brokers receive prompt answers to questions pertaining to real estate law and have access to an online archive of previous Hotline questions and opinions.
Broker Toolkit- an issue-oriented resource designed to help member brokers operate their business and keep up with changes in the industry.
Legal Defense Fund- assists local boards and members by providing legal and financial assistance to those who are involved in current or pending litigation.

Louisiana REALTORS offers many opportunities for continuing education and practical real estate training for the new and seasoned practitioner, through both classroom-taught and web-based classes.

LR’s wide range of professional development programming also includes specialty topic seminars to address critical industry issues and a wide variety of distance learning coursework to satisfy continuing education, broker prelicensing and broker and agent postlicensing requirements.

Additionally, LR provides opportunities for practitioners to earn nationally-recognized designations such as GRI (Graduate REALTOR Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), ABRM (Accredited Buyer Representative Manager), CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member). Through any of these industry respected designations programs, members will increase knowledge, productivity and profitability.

Technology Resource Center- part of LAREALTORS.org, the Technology Resource Center serves as an expanding collection of valuable tech support info, procedures and products designed to help REALTORS in their day-to-day practice.
Consumer Website- LR’s consumer website provides information about purchasing property in Louisiana, residential property listings, a comprehensive directory of all LR members and REALTOR firms, community info and much more. Major Meetings & Networking

Great education, business connections, networking opportunities and the chance to get actively involved in issue development are offered through major LR annual events such as the Leadership Symposium and Spring & Fall Conferences. Also, through team service and task force involvement, members can volunteer their expertise and time to help the organization develop its programs that benefit REALTORS and Louisiana’s real estate industry. These members work closely with other REALTORS from around the state and develop long-term professional relationships with their peers.

Leadership Symposium- This concentrated one and a half day conference provides volunteer and local board leadership with a comprehensive overview of Louisiana REALTORS programs and initiatives. Through Team meetings, agendas and objectives for association programs will be set in place, and attendees will hear from national speakers and enjoy networking events with REALTOR members.

Spring Conference- LR's annual spring event will include REALTOR Day at the state legislature, a general membership/directors meeting, planning sessions, team meetings, and networking opportunities with your fellow REALTORS from throughout the state.

Fall Conference- The annual fall conference will include a general membership/directors meeting, the annual officer installation event, planning sessions, team meetings, and networking with fellow REALTORS.

REALTOR Expo & Education Day- This is the state's top education and networking event for residential REALTORS. The one-day extravaganza offers multiple CE courses with top national speakers, a tradeshow featuring the latest in real estate-related products and services, and plenty of opportunities to network.

Commercial Development Conference- The premier issues briefing and networking opportunity geared specifically to commercial REALTORS in Louisiana. Attendees earn CE credit at this free half-day program while receiving the latest updates from national speakers on a variety of issues impacting the commercial real estate market.
