The Louisiana REALTORS Leading Edge Conference - designed especially for volunteer leaders, team and committee members at the local and state levels of the REALTOR organization – delivers leadership development programs, orientation for 2012 REALTOR leaders, information on critical real estate issues and more.
Here’s what you can expect at the first REALTOR leadership event of the year…
Keys for Building an Effective Partnership
National Association of REALTORS Senior VP Doug Hinderer will present an informative session for REALTORS involved in the governance of their local and state association. Doug will focus on the importance of partnerships in getting things done in an organization, including insights on volunteer/staff relations, communication styles, effective time management, and demonstrating the value of the association to the membership. Attendees will come away with valuable keys to success in program development and moving their REALTOR organization forward.
Advanced Mediator Training
Bruce Aydt, a distinguished member of NAR’s mediation faculty, will conduct the Advanced Mediator Training. The session is designed for volunteer mediators who have had prior training and/or experience as mediators. Class size is 40 or less. The class is free, but registration is required, as space is limited.
Professional Standards Training
National professional standards instructor Bruce Aydt will show REALTORS who are involved in the Professional Standards Enforcement process the right ways to understand and process Code of Ethics cases and arbitration cases.
Live Team Meetings
2012 LR team members, and those interested in getting the scoop on activities LR will undertake in the coming year, have the opportunity to participate in open volunteer Team meetings.
