The Louisiana REALTORS Association is pleased to provide its members
with a broker manual for quick reference. This important tool contains
background information and helpful hints on numerous real estate
related topics of interest. The manual is intended to be used for
informational purposes, giving you a guide to follow should these
topics present themselves within your firm. Periodically updates
will be made to the manual, and outdated sections will be deleted.
This is a large download which may take several minutes depending
on your connenction speed.
Broker Personnel
& Office Policy Manual
This policy manual is designed to give your company guidance as
to the policies and procedures required by state and federal laws,
and some suggestions as to policies and procedures used by other
companies. It should be adapted to fit your specific company’s
preferences and needs. It should not take the place of sound legal
advice. You should tailor this policy manual to your company’s
specific needs and then have it reviewed by legal counsel or other
person with knowledge of the various labor and employment laws to
insure compliance in your area. The LOUISIANA REALTORS ASSOCIATION®
specifically DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES, PROMISES OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, THAT THIS POLICY MANUAL CONFORMS TO ALL STATE AND FEDERAL
EMPLOYMENT LAWS AS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR YOUR COMPANY. For example,
this manual does not have a Family and Medical Leave Act policy
(as that Act applies to employers with 50 or more employees). Should
your company require such a policy, you will need to incorporate
such into the manual.
